Aragon Labs is pleased to announce that Anthony Leutenegger has been appointed as Senior Business Development Manager. He will be responsible for bringing Aragon Labs’ products to market, democratizing access to secure digital voting around the world.
Anthony is a highly energized soft skills expert with experience building and maintaining professional relationships with influential business and world leaders in over 50 different countries. He has a plethora of experience from fundraising and sales, to helping organizations implement strong ESG business practices. Anthony is also a National Geographic Photographer and Strava Sports Photographer of the Year winner. He enjoys mountain sports, travel to exotic countries, and educating himself on Web3 and new technologies.
At the University of Waterloo in Canada, Anthony specialized in business and environmental studies, focussing on how to help companies be as profitable as possible while also mitigating or reversing their negative environmental and social impacts. His capstone projects included working with Patagonia on their first edition bio-rubber wetsuit and with Japanese conglomerate Mitsui on the end-of-life of batteries in electrified vehicles. After university, Anthony travelled extensively through Asia before accepting a full-time offer to move to Switzerland to work at Leysin American School.
Anthony has spent the last 6 years building the Advancement program at this prestigious school, focusing on fundraising, sales, communications, community engagement, board creation, and public relations, sometimes traveling up to 100 days per year. During this time, Anthony fell head-first into the rabbit-hole of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, completing a specialization through INSEAD University on blockchain technology. He also fell in love with the mountains and become an extreme and long-distance athlete and photographer. During his spare time Anthony works with clients from cycling and rock-climbing magazines to companies such as Specialized Bikes. He is a 3x National Geographic Photographer and winner of the 2 most prestigious cycling and sports photography competitions: the Strava and Mark Gunter Award. He is also passionate about coffee and is an ambassador for the award-winning Horizonte Coffee Roasters in Switzerland.
“Nothing excites me more than working with and meeting people from around the world. Joining the Aragon team, and in particular working with Vocdoni, allows me to bring a revolutionary product to people around the world. By democratizing access to secure digital voting we have the ability to increase voter turnout, reduce corruption, force greater accountability of individuals in power, while saving money that can be reallocated elsewhere. Beyond that, we are a stepping stone to changing our governance systems to serve everybody. I hope to add a customer focused perspective to the team by putting their needs first and working with them to create the best product and therefore increase our global reach to have the greatest impact.” – Anthony Leutenegger, Senior Business Development Manager at Aragon Labs
